Take Your Mom To Dose Market

2012_1_27_dose_market_pretty.jpg How about a totally new take on Mother's Day this year? Take your mom to Dose Market, the monthly food and fashion market at the River East Art Center. There will be tons of new food and drink options available at this month's Dose, so this is a great chance for you to try some new foods and show off to mom.

Do-Rite Donuts will be helping you start the morning off right, and complimentary Virtue cider will keep your buzz going while you shop. Falafill will be serving up vegetarian sandwiches and Pecking Order, a new Filipino-style chicken shop from Chef Kristine Subido, will be having its debut at the market. Koval Distillery will be pouring out samples and Rare Tea Cellar will be selling their fantastic aged teas. Grab a pie from Pleasant House Bakery (our latest addiction) and wash it down with some Dark Matter Coffee. There's also going to be a pop-up preview of the upcoming Flour and Bones restaurant, opening later this summer and helmed by the folks behind the X-Marx supper club.

The complete list of vendors is available here. Dose runs from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. this Sunday, May 13th at the River East Art Center. We'd suggest showing up early, since it can get pretty crowded by lunchtime.

The River East Art Center is located at 435 E. Illinois St.
