X-Marx Supper Club To Open Flour And Bones In Logan Square

2012_5_10_flourandbones.png Abraham Conlon and Adrienne Lo, the partners behind the popular—and pricey—X-marx underground dinner club series, have announced plans to open a permanent restaurant called Flour and Bones in Logan Square at 2957 N. Milwaukee.

Flour and Bones is going to be small, with seating for 30 people split between two communal tables and a bar. But the food, Conlon and Lo wrote in an email announcing the plans, is "an X-marx joint" dedicated to "cook awesome food for you all in a nice atmosphere of our own creation."

Grub Street Chicago's Mike Gebert interviewed Conlon and got more details about Flour and Bones. Expect an Asian-influenced menu for the communal tables and an a la carte Omasake menu for the bar seating. Conlon also revealed that opening Flour and Bones will signal an end to the regular X-marx dinners, save for a pop-up dinner here and there. "It's the logical next step for us after 4-1/2 to 5 years of doing underground dinners. We're kind of tired of traveling around and moving our stuff," he told Gebert.

Conlon hopes to have Flour and Bones open in July.
