The Hideout, A.V. Fest Join Forces For Post-Labor Day Block Party

Save the date, Chicagoans, as the Hideout Block Party has been announced for September 14 and 15, 2012. This year, The Hideout will be teaming up with the A.V. Club's A.V. Fest for its post-Labor Day block party, which is held just outside of the venerated music venue. Line-up details will be announced shortly. Last year, the Hideout Block Party had a diverse, at-times stellar line-up, though many attendees lambasted the organization of concessions, complaining of long lines for few food items. The 2011 A.V. Fest was an inaugural success featuring Hum, Archers of Loaf, and locals Like Pioneers. Here's hoping the A.V. Fest, which had excellently-run concessions, has a positive effect in that respect on The Hideout.

And best of luck to those of you choosing between this and Riot Fest.
