Kerry Wood has been a Cub, an Indian, a Yankee and returned to Chicago in 2011. Chicago is where Wood has said he wants to retire and he plans to announce that retirement today during the Crosstown Classic.

The Crosstown Classic is one of the biggest series of the year for all Chicago baseball fans, which means all eyes will be Wood today as he says his final goodbye to the Cubs.

Wood came on with the Cubs in 1998 and had his most explosive game against the Houston Astros when he tied the major league record with 20 strikeouts in one game on May 6, 1998, earning him the nickname "Kid K." Wood was the Rookie of the Year in 1998 and has been named to the All-Star team twice in his major league tenure.

In recent years, Wood had battled injuries and trades only to come back to Chicago last season as their setup man in the rotation.

Wood is retiring with 86-75 record and 63 saves and has become one of the biggest household Cubs names of recent memory.
