Getting Around During NATO

Starting this afternoon, quite a few bus lines will be rerouted around the city due to NATO-related events. Rerouting will continue through Monday, so if you're one of the unlucky workers whose office isn't closed, or you're planning to go downtown this weekend, check out the full list of changes here.

We've already told you about that Metra is banning food, drink, and backpacks during the summit, as well as eliminating a number of stops from service Monday.

Your best bet seems to be taking the L. There are currently no changes to train routes, plus there are no special restrictions on what you can carry. They're not prohibiting anything that you can't normally take on the train.
