Goose Island Sets Up Mini Golf Course In Barrel Warehouse

By Anthony Todd in Food on May 22, 2012 4:00PM

Because we're geeks, the first thing we think of when we enter a barrel-aging warehouse is usually "Look at the aisles! This would make a great golf course!" Or bowling alley, or running track, or something equally out of place. Clearly, the folks at Goose Island
are kindred spirits, because as part of Chicago Craft Beer Week, they turned their barrel warehouse into a minigolf course.

Tickets for the event, held last Sunday, were very limited and only available by raffle. Luckily, for the many beer lovers who didn't get to attend, we have plenty of photos, courtesy of Goose Island. Participating breweries included Floosmoor Station, Haymarket, Virtue Cider and Arcade Brewing, and they each designed a themed hole. For a temporary course, it had some pretty impressive stuff - water features, tubes for balls, miniature buildings and a running beer tap.

Take a look at the photos - and hope they do this again!
