2012_5_24_hatterday.jpg New Holland Brewing's "Hatter Day" celebration at their Michigan brewpub is an all day celebration of the various versions of their flagship Mad Hatter ale that incoporates music, art, and food into an entertaining bacchanal.

New Holland is bringing the Hatter Day love to Chicago with a blowout extravaganza at Martyrs' June 21 at 7:30 p.m. As we've written before, Chicago is one of New Holland's best markets and partner/"Beervangelist" Fred Bueltmann has Chicago ties, so it could be said that Chicago is New Holland's home away from home.

The "Hatter Day Ball" will feature burlesque; music by Cavepeople, Shot Gun Elvis, and Begin By Gathering Supplies; art by local artists Cliff Kaplan, Melissa Modlinski, Diana Terry, Darick Maasen and Tim Shumate; a signing of the Hatter Day Ball print by artist Kyle Bice; and a costume contest with the winner receiving a three liter bottle of Oaked Farmhouse Hatter.

New Holland will be serving some rare beers along with their Hatter selections and the first 75 people through the door will receive a free Hatter Day t-shirt.
