Join Logan Square Kitchen For "Small Business Memorial Day"

2011_8_23LSK.jpg Logan Square Kitchen is shutting down, but they aren't gone yet. They're hosting a slew of events before they close (and the space turns into an as-yet-unidentified restaurant) including a lunch-in at Daley Plaza.

On noon Tuesday, May 29 Logan Square Kitchen will join up with Local First Chicago and Blacks in Green for a lunch. They invite anyone who supports small business to join them "in memory of Logan Square Kitchen, and so many other small businesses that have suffered undue government regulation." Bring lunch, and a roll of red tape if you have one.

That isn't the only event to mark their closing. They'll be hosting their last food sanitation workshop, on Festival Sanitation, on Saturday June 2. It's required for any vendor participating in food festivals.

They are also hosting a farewell pot luck on Sunday, June 17. The space will be open from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Bring food and drink, remember the space and good times there, and buy tables and small wares.

We'll miss you, LSK.

Logan Square Kitchen is located at 2333 N. Milwaukee Avenue.
