Today's Weather: Celebrate

Happy Memorial Day, everyone! We're due for some more hot weather today, but things could also get stormy later this afternoon. Yesterday's high of 97 set a new record high and we could be flirting with another record today with a projected high of 93. Clouds will keep us from decidedly setting a new high temperature record and those clouds may bring some possible severe storms in the evening and overnight. If you're bringing your barbecue skills to a park or forest preserve take note: we have gusty winds from the southwest that, coupled with the hot and dry weather, have us under a fire weather hazard today. Grill safely, folks.
