Lollapalooza 2012 Tickets Sold Out

The early bird, as the saying goes, gets the worm. Or in this case, early birds get the worms. While you were grilling, tickets to Lollapalooza are completely sold out. For those of you planning trips to Chicago Aug. 3-5, there's still plenty of other things to do. Every walked out onto the Sears Tower Skydeck?
We knew Lolla was going to sell out eventually but didn't expect it to sell out over two months before the festival takes over Grant Park. But then seeing three-day passes sell out a week after the full lineup was announced should have served as a sign. Sunday tickets were the only ones still available since early May and not even seeing Florence + the Machine on the final day's bill slowed down sales.
Here's hoping C3 and the Chicago Park District have a solid plan to prevent people from crashing the gates this year.
