Food Pr0n: Brasserie by LM
Chicken liver mousse, onion marmalade, toast.
French Onion Soup. What makes this particularly delicious is that it is not overly salty and is not covered in a mound of cheese. Restraint makes this bowl of soup perfect.
Fromage, fig jam, toast. Three different cheeses.
Charcuterie, toast, cornichons, grainy mustard, pickled onion.
A close up of the blue veins in the cheese and some light, sweet walnuts.
Mussels. With white wine, garlic, herbs.
Dark chocolate mousse, a cookie and some whipped cream.
Dark cherry bread pudding.
We recently ventured into the South Loop to enjoy dinner at Brasserie by LM, the French replacement for the recently-deceased Tribute. While the reviews haven't been stellar so far, comments on the actual food have been fairly positive. If you've been considering making a visit, take a look at some of their offerings.
Brasserie by LM is located at 800 S. Michigan Ave.
