Stevens Point Brewery decided to film an ad for their new Black Ale that the producers say may be the most dramatic beer commercial ever filmed. If you ever wanted to know what a beer commercial from Michael Bay would look like, here's a first step.

The commercial, set near the Board of Trade building, was filmed by local creative partnership Rascals & Rogues, places the star-crossed lovers in the ad in an apocalyptic setting that features, among other things, police putting the billy clubs to people on the street. Which seems a bit unfortunate this side of the NATO summits. When the male lead in the commercial has his bottle of Point Black Ale smashed by a policeman riding a horse, his scream stops the anarchy around him. (If only a cop smashed a beer bottle at Michigan and Cermak, a lot of hassle may have been avoided.)

But all is not lost. The female lead pulls out another bottle of Point Black Ale and says, "it's not the end of the world."

Or maybe it is.
