By Samantha Abernethy in News on Jun 11, 2012 7:40PM

Chicago police have released surveillance video capturing two men beating and robbing an 86-year-old man in an effort to capture the two men who attacked the WWII veteran. The robbery happened more than two months ago, and the cops are asking for help because "this is one of those crimes that hits us in the pit of the stomach," a spokesman told ABC. Crime Stoppers is also offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to their arrest. The two attackers allegedly followed the man from a bank to a Currency Exchange, then to his home, where they beat, choked and robbed him of $500 he had put in his sock.
