Lollapalooza Chow Town 2012 Lineup Announced

Since taking over organizing the food lineup at Lollapalooza in 2010, Graham Elliot Bowles has brought some starpower to the proceedings while putting together a lineup of restaurants that represents a wide range of Chicago's restaurant scene. This year's lineup is no different.

Eater Chicago's Ari Bendersky spoke with Bowles, who's augmented tourist staples like Robinson's No. 1 Ribs and Connie's Pizza with some heavy hitters in Mercat a la Planxa's Jose Garces, former Sixteen chef Frank Brunacci, La Colombe Torrefaction Coffee Bar, and "don't make us have to choose" option between Edzo's Burger Shop and MBurger.

There's also a small farmers market in the works, with booths featuring Seedling Fruit, Brunkow Cheese, River Valley Kitchens, and more. "The whole idea is [getting] people who can celebrate music and the relationship with food," Elliot told Bendersky. "When we talk with the restaurants we try to get the point across that it's about the music and that they'll be in front of 300,000 people."
