Billy Corgan Likes Deep Purple, Wants To Pee On Radiohead.

Billy Corgan recently took time off from promoting his professional wrestling endeavor, Resistance PRO, to make his distaste for Radiohead, and love for Deep Purple, known. Speaking on how rock currently viewed, Corgan told the website Antiquiet, "I'll piss on fucking Radiohead, because of all this pomposity."

Radiohead's status as one of the most revered and groundbreaking bands of the last 20 years has apparently left Corgan unimpressed. He went on to single out guitarist Jonny Greenwood, "This value system that says Jonny Greenwood is more valuable than Ritchie Blackmore. Not in the world I grew up in."

Corgan was apparently referring to Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, which ranked Greenwood 48th, Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore 50th, and left him off the list. No word if Corgan attended Radiohead's stellar show at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre Sunday. If not, he could probably be found chasing reports the Smashing Pumpkins are still a band.
