Go The F**k To Sleep Author Adam Mansbach To Read At Young Chicago Authors

Adam Mansbach's children's book Go the Fuck to Sleep became a viral sensation before it was released, thanks to booksellers sharing PDF copies of the book with each other and celebrity readings by the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Werner Herzog and Kevin Pollack (impersonating Christopher Walken). The book isn't without its detractors and parodies, which takes away from the fact that Mansbach did what most writers want: draw attention to his words. Critics may argue Mansbach is trivializing vulgarity. Parents smile wide because Mansbach wrote what they're feeling when they're trying to put down their bundles of joy for the night.

Mansbach will be in Chicago for his first and only reading of Go the Fuck to Sleep since the book's release 7 p.m. June 18 at Young Chicago Authors (1180 N. Milwaukee, 2nd Floor). There will be copies of the book available for sale at the reading, with proceeds going to fund YCA's mission.
