Dempster Goes On DL

The Cubs cannot catch a break. Ryan Dempster went on the DL today with a strained right lat muscle.
Dempster has been one of the few bright spots for a 22-win team that's in teardown mode this season, with a 3-3 record and a 2.11 ERA in 12 starts and a scoreless streak that currently stands at 22 innings. Dempster is also one of the more attractive trade options the Cubs had at their disposal. Dempster just met with media and said he doesn't expect his DL stint to last long, but this is his second trip to the DL this season and that could be enough to scare away some contending teams from trading for him.
