In 1981, The Rolling Stones stopped by the Checkerboard Lounge in Chicago while Muddy Waters was performing and joined their namesake on the stage. Now a double CD/DVD package of the legendary performance is coming out on July 10. The "never before seen footage" also includes appearances by Buddy Guy and Junior Wells. WXRT writes:

The Waters/Stones performance took place on November 22, 1981 as the band were taking a night off from another of their big tours. Rolling into Chicago, Mick Jagger, Ron Wood, Keith Richards and keyboardist Ian Stewart dropped in on Muddy at [Buddy Guy's] Checkerboard Lounge. Within minutes, the students were onstage with the Master, jamming with Muddy and his band to the delight of the lucky patrons.

Here are The Stones and The Waters performing "Mannish Boy."

"Baby Please Don't Go."

"Champagne and Reefer."
