Beat The Heat With Free Milky Way Ice Cream Bars

Milky Way apparently got advance notice about the summer of 2012. It's hotter, drier, and altogether more miserable than last summer. Luckily, they've come up with a solution - at least, a temporary solution. They're launching a new Milky Way Chocolate ice cream bar, and you can scarf them down for free today. Beat the heat!

From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Adler Planetarium, the tricked-out Milky Way truck will be handing out free bars. The truck itself is pretty cute, and they encourage photographs in front of the "out of this world" backdrop. However, we suspect everyone will be there for the free chocolate. If you have half-day Fridays, stop in at the (air-conditioned) Adler for a planetarium show afterwards. There's no better way to avoid the heat than sitting in a darkened theater.
