Blackhawks 2012-13 Schedule Released

The NHL released the Blackhawks' 2012-13 schedule Thursday. Should there be an NHL season, the Hawks will open the regular season Oct. 13 at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Shortly after they will get a rematch with the Phoenix Coyotes on Oct. 30, although nemesis Raffi Torres will probably still be serving his 25-game suspension from last year. He appealed the suspension and a ruling from the league should be coming soon.
The annual circus trip takes place this year from Nov. 14-23 and includes six games out west. This year's schedule includes two other six-game road trips that will post a formidable challenge for the Hawks. Also on the docket are matchups with all other Original Six franchises.
Notable home games include a visit from Sidney Crosby and the Penguins Nov. 5, the Stanley Cup Champion Kings on Nov. 27 and March 21 and the hated Canucks on Feb. 24 and March 12. Rounding out the year will be a home and home matchup against the Blues. View the full schedule here.
