Today's Weather: Red Alert

We've had today circled on our calendar since late last week and for good reason. Most of the forecasts agree we're due for some dangerously hot and humid weather today; "check on your neighbors" weather, essentially. The National Weather Service has us under a heat advisory from noon until 8 p.m.. Over at Skilling Central we're being told that today's weather forecast could be one for the record books, with the possibility we could have our highest temperatures in the area in seven years. So drink plenty of water (or ginger beer, wear light clothing, and stay cool, because it's going to be hotter than Georgia asphalt out there.
