White Sox 14, NY Yankees 7

The White Sox found themselves on the good end of a football score last night, thanks to the bottom of the order. AJ Pierzynski, Dayan Viciedo, Alexei Ramirez and Gordon Beckham were 12-for-19 at the plate, drove in eight and scored 10 of the team's 14 runs. Pierzynski homered twice, Ramirez hit his first home run since April and Paul Konerko also homered. The 14 runs were the most the Sox have scored at Yankee Stadium since Aug. 3, 1982. Their 19 hits were the most in the Bronx since July 18, 1995. It didn't look as though the Sox were going to win early, after Jose Quintana fell into an early 4-0 hole after one inning. But the Sox tied the game in the second inning, the first time they overcame a four-run deficit in Yankee Stadium to win a game since Sept. 10, 1955. Quintana lasted six innings and the hot hitting staked staked him to his third win of the season, while the bullpen did mop-up duty. Jake Peavy takes the mound as the Sox look to win their third straight series. First pitch is at 12:05 p.m.
