Heading out on the road tomorrow? Then you'll want to know that the average price for gas is under $4 a gallon for the first time since February.

AAA-Chicago Motor Club reports the average price of gasoline decreased 21 cents from May to June, and 25 cents from last year, to $3.70. A search for gas prices around Chicagoist's Bridgeport headquarters on Chicagogasprices.com shows a gallon of gas selling for as low as $3.55 a gallon at a Shell at 47th Street and Western Ave.

And if you're thinking of driving to Indiana to get cheap gas, let's save you the trip. AAA-Chicago Motor Club has the average price for gas in the Hoosier state at $3.65. Unless you're heading to Hammond to buy fireworks (and bring us back some Black Cats), avoid a trip to save five cents a gallon.
