2012_07_02_BiketotheBeachBash.jpg This year’s summer music fest season welcomes a new member: the Bike to the Beach Bash. This bash invites Chicagoans to bike on over to Montrose Beach on Friday, July 27, find a spot in the sand, and enjoy some summery tunes.

The initial lineup features some choice local acts—Ra Ra Riot is scheduled to headline, and Best Friends and California Wives are also booked to perform. LandShark Lager will also be at the event to meet your thirst-quenching needs.

There are two (pretty pricey) ticket options for this event: While general admission tickets ($20) get you in, VIP tickets ($35) come with access to a private beach oasis, which has beach chairs, cabanas, restrooms, and private bar access. Proceeds from the bash go to Intuit: The Center or Intuit and Outsider Art as well as Blackstone Bicycle Works, who will provide bike valet services (for a fee) for the night.

Bike to the Beach Bash is Friday, July 27 at Montrose Beach, 200 W Montrose Harbor Dr, 4-10 p.m., $20 for general admission or $35 for VIP tickets
