Morning Diversion: Lining Up To Buy Use Your Illusion In 1991

By Samantha Abernethy in Arts & Entertainment on Jul 10, 2012 3:00PM

Mental Floss unearthed this video of people lining up at a Superior, Wis., CD store at midnight to buy Guns N' Roses' Use Your Illusion I & II in 1991. Oddly enough, the store was playing Mariah Carey's "Emotions" while the GNR fans shopped.

What is also odd is the price. If you bought Use Your Illusion right now on iTunes, it'd cost more than a cassette, and you wouldn't even have a piece of plastic to show for it.
