2011_3_24Pizetta.jpeg While most of the weekend hype will likely focus on street fests, take in an epic food journey with Chef Tony Mantuano, who is hosting a trolley tour of a trio of his restaurants.

On Saturday, July 21, Chef Mantuano is inviting guests to join him on the inaugural Tour di Tony, a trolley tour starting with antipasti and "spreetzs" at Terzo Piano inside the Art Institute, a trek to Bar Toma for pizza and wine, followed by a stroll up Michigan Avenue to CafĂ© Spiaggia for dessert. This tour of Tony’s trio of restaurants is going to cost you $150 per person, but includes food, beverages, transportation, taxes and gratuity. Tour di Tony starts at 11:30 a.m., and you can reserve your spot by calling Alexandra Barton at (312) 280-2750.

For a more hands-on experience, join Mantuano and Meg Colleran Sahs the next day for a produce-palooza cooking class at Terzo Piano on Sunday, July 22. The class will focus on finding the best produce at local farmers’ markets and transforming these into flavorful summer dishes. For $65 this class includes a demonstration, tasting and seasonal beverage pairings. Reservations can be made by calling (312) 443-8650
