Lupe Fiasco Breaks Down Watching 2006 Video Of Chicago's Neighborhood

Lupe Fiasco was on MTV’s RapFix Live Wednesday when host Sway Calloway played a 2006 clip from another program, My Block with Lupe giving a tour of his Chicago neighborhood.

Watch below as Lupe breaks down while he tells Calloway of the fates of many of the young men shown in the clip. It’s a powerful video that shows the neighborhood hasn’t changed as Lupe has achieved major success.

” Chicago's the murder capital. The dudes in that video are in prison, a couple of fed cases, and then there's ghosts. You see people that, that ain't there.”

Lupe’s friend, business partner and mentor Charles “Chilly Patton was sentenced in 2007 to 44 years in prison on drug conspiracy charges.
