Tiara Likes, 23, sells sex toys for a living, which is why she had such a large stockpile of genital weaponry. She told police her home had also been "ransacked."
According to the Galesburg Register-Mail, Likes returned Monday evening and "realized a pink Adidas bag containing sex toys and antibiotics had been taken."
Yes, antibiotics.
A Peoria columnist points out just how strange a sex toy burglary is.
Burglars usually snag stuff they can sell fast. But what’s the black market value for sex toys? Even if they’re still in their original packaging, do you trust a guy selling them out of his trunk?
With these types of items, you probably want to be more careful of the retail trail than for, say, a flat-screen TV. There’s a certain type of intimacy you don’t want compromised.
There were no signs of forced entry, and neighbors didn't see anything suspicious. Police have no suspects.
"No TV's were gone, no laptops were gone," Galesburg Police told the Daily News. "Right now the case is pretty much closed. We'll reopen it if we have some further information."
