First Looks: Hash House A Go Go

Open now in the gold coast is Hash House a Go Go, a restaurant with a funny name offering twisted farm food.

The popular San Diego-based restaurant also has a location in Las Vegas, but the Chicago location boasts more than 200-seat space (with an additional 20 in the patio). They will offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch and late night dining in a casual and welcoming atmosphere.

Our favorite quote so far about Hash House came from Grubstreet Chicago's Mike Gebert. "You know how small plates places tell you to figure on 'X dishes per person?' At Hash House the value for X is about 0.3." You'll definitely be getting your money's worth.

The food is made from traditional, farm-fresh ingredients and served in very large portions. Traditionally American dishes, like meatloaf, pot pie, chicken and waffles and others, are given a unique twist with interesting spices and flavors. Hash House a Go Go is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on most days, and open until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Hash House a Go Go is located at 1212 N. State Parkway.
