Rahm Emanuel Vs. Teachers On A Bus Station Kiosk

One person's celebration of reading is another person's opportunity to point out the obvious. Chicagoist reader Greg Gillam passed along these photos of a bus station kiosk outside of City Hall. If you don't see the hypocrisy, read up on the steps Mayor Rahm Emanuel has taken to cut the budget for Chicago Public Libraries. Follow that with the mayor's nonstop fight with the Chicago Teachers Union, and maybe a little reading program isn't the best thing for his office to be bragging about, especially considering they probably had to use some of their precious money to purchase that advertisement.
