Graham Elliot, Lounge Singer Of Wrigley

By Anthony Todd in Food on Jul 30, 2012 5:20PM

2012_7_30_GEWrigley.png Chef Graham Elliot loves the spotlight. Whether it be his furious tweeting, his television appearances or tossing restaurant critics out of his restaurants, he seems happiest when someone is paying attention to him. And really, who isn't? Until this weekend, though, we'd never seen him sing.

This past Sunday, Elliot took to the microphone at Wrigley Field to sing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" for the 7th inning stretch. He said before singing that he planned to cover the song "lounge singer style," and, well, he certainly did. We especially like the tremolo around :30 in. He also tweeted that he hoped to "make Harry Caray proud" - you'll have to judge that one for yourself.

His latest restaurant, g.e.b., claims to "highlight the relationship between food, music and spirituality." After this debut, we want to see a built-in, dedicated microphone so Elliot can serenade his guests.
