This Week In Street Fests: Edge Fest, Wrigleyville Summerfest

By Samantha Abernethy in Arts & Entertainment on Aug 3, 2012 4:40PM

Edge Fest

Edge Fest in Edgewater will feature art and music and stuff, but more importantly... bacon. Musical entertainment will be provided by local cover acts This Must Be The Band, Too White Crew, Sixteen Candles and more. The food comes from the diverse mix of restaurants in Edgewater, and they promise to put bacon on just about everything.

Edge Fest is at 5900 N. Broadway at Thorndale Ave., on Saturday noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday noon to 9 p.m.

Wrigleyville Summerfest

This festival sounds a lot more kid-friendly than your usual Wrigleyville weekend. Summerfest is a fundraiser for area churches and Lakeview Pantry. It features a bouncy house, mini golf and arts and crafts for the kids, plus a Sunday brunch service with cinnamon rolls from Ann Sather and a gospel choir performance. There will be beer and live music, too, so there's something for every one.

Wrigleyville Summerfest is at 3300 N. Seminary at School, on Saturday noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday noon to 9 p.m.

Lollapalooza
We don't really need to tell you anything about Lollapalooza. If you're going, you probably already have tickets. If you want more information, here's what you ought to know:
