Check Out This Smart Mix

We've always known Chicagoist writer Jake Guidry was a talented guy so we're pleased to see others are noticing that as well. In addition to being a smart and insightful writer, often covering the EDM scene, Guidry has also been honing his skills and gigging around town as a DJ. Recently dance club legend Smart Bar asked Guidry if he would contribute to their Smart Mix series, and he took them up on their offer.

The mix he ended up constructing is a little darker than you might expect. While it certainly fits on the dancefloor there's an introspection to its flow that should satisfy both those with fancy footwork and those that just want to lay back and sink into the music.
