Sam Hurd, Former Bear And Scarface Wannabe, Arrested Again

Former Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd violated his probation Thursday in Texas after testing positive for marijuana use. Hurd was last seen being arrested in the parking lot of a suburban restaurant after he allegedly tried to purchase a large amount of marijuana and cocaine from a federal informant. He was free on $100,000 bond.

Hurd is awaiting trial on federal drug conspiracy charges. He is accused of using the fortune he amassed from being a mediocre wide receiver to set up a large drug distribution network across Lake and Cook counties. The trial was set to begin Monday, but will now be pushed back until October. That should give Hurd plenty of time to make several more terrible decisions.
