When he’s not rubbing elbows on the Brown Line and (apparently) sticking it to socialists, Mayor Rahm Emanuel likes to get out. Or so one would gather from this Daily Beast article that bears his byline.

The mayor leads off with two pretty obvious choices — Sears Tower Skydeck and an Architectural Boat Tour — before reiterating his love of barbecued meat from Little Village. Not one to alienate the vegetarian vote, Emanuel slips in Green City Market.

Our civilized mayor also points Beast readers to the Joffrey Ballet, Court Theatre, the South Shore Cultural Center, the Bronzeville Children’s Museum and Art Walks in Pilsen. Evidently not intimidated by the comedian's past taunts, Emanuel counts Stephen Colbert among the Second City luminaries that earn the comedy institution a place on his list.
