Join The Third Annual Bacon Takedown

Time to break out your creative bacon recipes—the third annual Bacon Takedown tour is coming to Lincoln Hall on September 16 and there are eight more slots for home cooks to participate.
20 home cooks will each get 15 pounds of bacon to whip up imaginative porky dishes and serve them to a panel of judges and the public. Last year's entries included bacon pierogis, bacon banana nut bread, and bacon tamales. So if you've been sitting on a recipe for bacon ice cream, now is your time to shine. Plus Chicagoist's Caitlin Klein will be participating, so you'll be going up against our simple cooking guru.
