Box Score: Sox Keep Rolling

The magical White Sox season continued Friday after the bullpen blew a five-run lead, only to see the team score two more runs to take the lead and the win. Jake Peavy pitched a solid game and Adam Dunn homered twice, but that was overshadowed by the late-inning fails and heroics. Paul Konerko hit the game winner, which raised some eyebrows in the Mariners' dugout. He crushed a ball to the outfield, the Mariners' Eric Thames caught it, but collided with Saunders and the ball slipped away. When the ball fell, Dewayne Wise scored from second base. The Mariners appealed that Konerko passed Youkilis on the base paths, but were overruled, and the Sox took the victory.
