Teaser For Next Kyoto Menu Makes Us Feel Uncool; Want A Cigarette

Next, in addition to making some of Chicago's greatest food, has made some of the best teaser videos for a restaurant that we have ever seen. There was the Next Sicily video, a flickering, evocative Sepia tidbit narrated by what sounded like an Italian Grandmother. There was the trippy childhood menu, with kids in toques. The El Bulli video reminded us that "the spirit lives on." Now, we have an homage to Japanese film noir in several parts that makes us want to smoke and eat sushi.
Videographer Christian Seel created this video, the first part of which is online now. Apparently, this Japanese man and a dejected bride are discussing a recurring dream. We're kinda looking forward to seeing what comes next; at the same time, we feel like if we were one of the cool kids, we'd somehow already know.
Any thoughts on how this relates to the food? The new menu starts on September 15.
