Last Minute Plans: Mortinis and Massages At Morton's Steakhouse

By Melissa Wiley in Food on Sep 4, 2012 7:00PM

It's been a long weekend. You clearly need a drink—and a massage. Just like you're never more famished than the Friday morning after Thanksgiving dinner, nothing spoils you for the 9-to-5 like 72 hours of uninterrupted leisure. Instead of rewarding you with a post-Labor Day adrenaline rush, your body stages a coup, recalibrating itself into permanent vacation mode and making life very difficult for your boss. Fortunately, the folks at Morton’s Steakhouse have scheduled a midweek happy hour like no other to put things to rights. They’re offering up a night of Mortinis and massages on Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 5:30 to 8, just in time to help you make it through the technically short week.

For $45, Ladies & Gentleman, an Aveda salon, will provide chair massages and mini-makeovers while the folks at Morton’s tend to your alcoholic needs, making your head a little lighter and your back a little looser. There’s no cap on the drinks and signature hors d'oeuvres, including wines and champagne cocktails as well as the harder stuff. Wigs for Kids receives $5 of every ticket sold and all the proceeds from the raffle held at the end of the night. So cheers to Wednesdays! You’ve only got two days to go now.

Morton’s Steakhouse is located at 65 East Wacker Place.
