Savor Farm-To-Table Dining at Niche

By Minna A in Food on Sep 6, 2012 6:00PM

Experience locavore farm-to-table dining at Niche Restaurant in Geneva, Ill., where many of the ingredients come directly from their restaurant farm just a few miles away.

Open since 2006, Niche expanded its, well, niche, from dining to farming in 2011 with the opening of Bull Run Farm. Located just 10 miles from the restaurant in Elburn, Ill., the farm provides ingredients for most of the dishes at Niche. From zucchini and squash to rosemary and basil, the range of items being raised at Bull Run Farm brings a fresh take to the food at Niche.

Led by Serena Perdue, executive chef, and Vince Balistreri, sommelier, Niche brings this western suburb some serious fine dining in addition to a wide selection of craft beers, limited production wines and expansive selection of whiskeys and scotches.

It’s a bit of a trek, but Chicagoans taking the Metra to Geneva will be rewarded with a picturesque walk through Geneva’s charming downtown.

Niche is located at 14 S. Third St. in Geneva, Ill.
