The combined AV Fest and Hideout Block Party started Friday with Hideout's Tim Tuten paying respect to Fred Anderson, Sun Ra and Von Freeman in his introduction to Guitarkestra, which set the stage for a powerful evening of music capped by an energetic set by Iron & Wine.
