Why did the chicken cross the road? Apparently to see how its neighbor's chicken shacks stacked up! The Windy City Coop Tour is back for 2012 and it's bigger than ever. Join city chicken enthusiasts for a weekend of cluckery as twenty local backyard birdkeepers open their homes and their henhouses to you. It is everything you wanted to know about raising chickens in an urban environment and more!

This year's tour takes place Sept. 22 - 23 with an array of locations featured and open each day. Just set your own itinerary, grab your camera, and wing it. It is fun, educational, and only comes but once a year! Best of all, you can save some serious chickenfeed as this faire of fowl is FREE!
