The Arts of Life's Fourth Annual Chili Cook-off is set for Nov. 3 at The Arts of Life's studio (2010 W. Carroll Ave.). Chicagoist is once again proud to be a sponsor of the event, along with presenting sponsor Half Acre Beer Company, Black Dog Gelato, and Big Audio.
I'll be one of the judges for this year's event, along with Tammy Green of Chicago Bites, and Vivian Yip and Michellle Erickson of Chicago Food Whores.
Chicago Afrobeat Project headlines a music lineup that also includes the Kodiak Farm Boys and the Arts of Life Band.
The Arts of Life is a non-profit organization whose mission is using art as a therapeutic method for adults with mental illness or intellectual disabilities. Proceeds from the Chili Cook-off will go to help fund their programming. Right now, they're looking for entrants for the Chili cook-off and they need them soon. If you're interested in putting your chili recipe to the test, we've included the registration form below. We'll see you there on Nov. 3.
