While this is not nearly a blitz of Stone Brewing or Oskar Blues proportions, Chicago newcomer Saugatuck Brewing Co. has some events this week to celebrate their launch into the Chicago Market. With their brewery only 2.5 hours away from Chicago, it’s worth checking out what this Michigan brewery has to offer. Interested? Check out the events below.

Tuesday, Sept. 25
Draft Release at Sheffields, 3258 N. Sheffield, at 6 p.m.
Saugatuck Brewing Co.'s fall seasonal Bonfire Brown and flagship Singapore IPA will be on draft with select Saugatuck Brewing Co. beers in bottles also.

Wednesday, Sept. 26
Saugatuck Brewing Co. Tap Take Over at Beer Bistro, 1061 W Madison St., at 6 p.m.
What better way to celebrate the release of Saugatuck Brewing Co. than with a Tap Takeover? Join them (and their six taps of beer) on Wednesday.

For those who can’t make it to the first two events, all Saugatuck Brewing Co. bottled beers — Singapore IPA, Oval Beach Blonde, ESB Amber, Pier Cove Porter and Bonfire Brown — will be available for purchase at all Chicagoland Binny's stores starting Sept. 24.

If you like what you taste of this newcomer, look out for High Gravity release Double Diamond Black, an American black ale, this October, then release Neapolitan Milk Stout, a creamy stout with aromas and flavors of Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate, in November.
