Giant Golf Ball Stolen From Mag Mile

How did someone steal a giant golf ball and get away with it? The city added about 100 of these 5-foot-tall golf balls to celebrate the Ryder Cup. The balls are on display until Oct. 10, then they'll be sold at auction to benefit the Illinois PGA Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana.
But now the charities will lose thousands of dollars because someone took off with one of the golf balls. The tee and ball were designed by artist Jeff Budzban, and it was signed by Jenny McCarthy. Police are reviewing surveillance. We suspect it's someone with a giant golf club.
