Exciting Running Backs Back Obama in Boring Video

By JoshMogerman in News on Oct 6, 2012 9:00PM

The Bears travel down to Jacksonville, FL for a game tomorrow that may come down to a battle of franchise running backs. But while Matt Forte vs. Maurice Jones-Drew has the look of an intriguing on-the-field football battle, earlier this week the star scamperers were very much on the same political team when they shot an Obama "get out the vote" ad.

The President’s campaign may be looking to coax the fantasy football set off their couches. Good luck. The NFL Network basically created a channel so that those guys don’t even need to reach for the remote… And while “Pocket Hercules” and the un-nicknamable Forte are long-time buddies who have been electrifying in the Chicagoist fantasy league, they are 3 yards and a cloud of dust on-screen. Yawn. We will be seriously pissed off if the Bears game is as boring as this ad tomorrow.
