Steve Stone Returning To White Sox Broadcast Booth Next Season

Steve Stone will return to the White Sox broadcast booth (and another season of barely concealed indignation of Ken "Hawk" Harrleson). Stone confirmed his return on WSCR-AM's "Mully and Hanley Show" that he was "100 percent" returning.
“I plan to stay with the Chicago White Sox through this contract and hopefully beyond. Regardless of what you might have read or heard or people speculated on or blogged (about) or anything else, I will be back. It’s 100 percent. Hopefully, as I said, for many years. In looking at it, this is, in my estimation, the best big city in the country.”
There had been speculation Stone would have considered a move to the Arizona Diamondbacks vacant broadcast booth during the offseason and that he had grown tired of Harrelson's fits of pique during games. The Diamondbacks are also interested in Cubs analyst Bob Brenly, who was in the last year of his contract with the club and is currently paired with Dick Stockton on MLB playoff games.
