Another Son Of Ditka Charged With Another DUI

Maybe the sons of Mike Ditka should start using a car service. Mark E. Ditka (aka “Another Son of Ditka”) was busted for his second DUI in 12 months Sunday near his Deerfield home.

Ditka was pulled over at 3:42 a.m. for illegal lane use. Police conducted field sobriety tests and found an unmarked bottle of hydrocodone pills during a search of his car. Ditka was charged with DUI, possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured vehicle, and the illegal lane use that started this snowball rolling.

Ditka was charged with DUI in September 2011. The charges were dropped when a judge threw out the Breathalyzer results. Ditka’s brother Michael P. Ditka (aka “Son of Ditka”) was arrested in April 2011 on his fourth DUI charge. That case was also tossed, which was good for him: Son of Ditka was facing seven years in prison if he was convicted.
