Move over Top Chef. It’s time to shine a spotlight on simpler stovetops. Enter a new reality series from the creators of Undercover Boss and Project Runway in which contestants vie for the opportunity to have their original culinary ideas line supermarket shelves — and make their way into Main Street kitchens across the country.

If you have a favorite recipe, idea, or edible invention — or if you're just peeved that a particular product hasn't yet made its way to your supermarket — this is your chance. So go ahead and turn heads while turning your grandma's secret recipe into America's next food craze.

So foodies, don’t be camera shy. The open casting call takes place on Sunday, October 21 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Westin Hotel. Prospective candidates should send an email with their headshot, phone number, current occupation, and description and photo of their food idea to supermarketcastingchicago@gmail.com or mica@jencasting.com.

For more information about your shot to make the D-list and the next Hamburger Helper, visit SupermarketCasting.com.

And while you're prepping for your closeup, you might as well amble over to Le Cordon Bleu on Oct. 20 to audition for season four of Fox's MasterChef. Break a leg (or an egg), superstar!
