Last Minute Plans: Meals On Wheels Celebrity Chef Ball

2012_10_11_MealsonWheels.jpg Looking for something glamorous to do on Friday night? Meals on Wheels Chicago is hosting their Celebrity Chef Ball, and a few tickets are still available. Practically every chef in Chicago is going to be there, and if you play your cards right, you can get a special four-course tasting menu.

As with most charity galas, there are a number of ways you can attend the event. If you're only interested in the ball and the tasting (with bites from chefs like Jimmy Bannos, John Des Rosiers, Dirk Flanigan, Paul Fehribach, Chris Pandel, Ryan Poli, Heather Terhune, Giuseppe Tentori and more), buy a ticket for the Chef's tasting party for $150. It runs from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and includes food, drinks, live music, a silent auction and a photo booth.

If you're a high roller, there's an exclusive VIP Chef's Dinner from 6:30-8:30. For an "interactive, multi-course seated dining experience," the price jumps to $350. Unless you have a guy - TravelZoo is running a deal for a similar experience for only $199, but you have to buy it today. For face time and a special meal by some of these chefs, it might just be worth it. Plus, all of the money (even through the deal) goes to a good cause.
